I feel like ranting too! So I will!
One thing that's always been a pet peeve of mine is pornography that pretends to be art. Now, nude art does exist, and it can be a great form of art. Just look at Michelangelo's David. But there is a line. Art exists to make a point, a statement, or to express an idea. It is at the very least a display of something. In RPing communities, drawing characters for the sake of having a P. Cool reference of them is a big thing, but even things like that are art in that they're an expression of the character and his/her/it's concept. Art, essentially, wants to share something. Now, considering the nature of thoughts on sex in our culture (something else I can spend an hour ranting about but will summarize briefly here) that go along the lines of "girls should be slutty virgins, men should never, ever be virgins, and only the young are allowed to have it" sex is something that needs to be discussed and talked about because our minds are so fucking messed up with it.

But enough of that, this is about porn and art, not my thoughts on America's cultural sexuality. Art exists to make a point or express something, and that point can be made with any thing and sometimes has to. And sometimes that requires nudity or sexual imagery. You ever see that one painting made about 9/11 of the woman labeled America, her legs spread wide open as a whole plane is about to fly into her? That right their expresses a VERY powerful point, a point that couldn't have been made without that imagery. THAT'S art. An image of a woman on her back, looking like she's about to cum with her vagina pointed towards the camera, is NOT art. Put a weird in the background wearing a theater mask with a birds nose and dressed in a clown suit and then it is. And it barely has to be that absurd.

There are other ways to do it too. If art is an expression of something, maybe you're trying to express the beauty of the female body or the beauty of sex? Around then the line gets harder to define, but there are things you can do. Hopefully you're smart enough to know where the line is in that case. Just try to not include what you don't need, and the more...'hardcore' it gets, the less likely it is to be art.

Chances are a lot of the collections you're seeing are nothing but pornographic images. Yeah. This annoys me. VERY MUCH. URHHGGGLLBURLG.

So it was my birthday a few days ago. Very nice, if it weren't half as boring. That said, amazing fun was hand in the shape of...EPIC VICTOLY!!!
I now own a sword, a katana to be precise, and I've already taken some art photos with it that I'll be sure to upload after they go through Photoshop. Also SHE'S coming over! YEEEESSSSSSS. Not until September but WHO UCKING CARES I GET TO SEE HER AGAIN.
I'm sorta sad that she's got someone else but oh well.

I'm also REALLY into Magic of late, if you haven't noticed. You mortals will quickly learn to fear my Vampires. The Gentlelady is in charge now. BWUAHAHA.

Also, going to Anime North and the Big Apple in May. Things are looking up, sans the horrific torment of the next few weeks of PAIN for the closing of the school year. Also Pokemon.

Happy New Year, one and all. For me, it's been an...interesting year. Looking back at my past self and my current self, realizing the changes, growing up. Fun fun for everyone. There are issues though.

I've found a new RP Site but it turns out pretty much everyone on that site is a bunch of arrogant pricks. So I left. I saved the CSes I wrote up there to use them elsewhere. And I love how everyone thinks I'll be coming back. Feh. I know when to quit.
Best part of it is though, in leaving I caused a lot of chaos. Wee!
Though I've been thinking, does running form a situation make one a coward? I don't think it does in my case. There's a difference between picking your battles and avoiding all conflict all together.
Anyway, looking back it's been a productive year. Not just for the things that are up here - behind the scenes, Elemental Saga has been being worked on and planned. Someday I will finish that novel and you'll all read it as it is published. Maybe I'll publish some of my other stories. I want to get out of my parent's home before I do though.

That's another thing. Why am I afraid of my parents know what I'm writing about and talking about on the internet? I mean, my horror fiction isn't exactly pretty and I certainly am a lot more reserved about myself in the real world then I am on the internet, and I don't think it's because I'm shy. I just don't want my parents to know they're little girl is writing stories about abusive mums and dads. And walls filling with blood and drowning people.

And love. What of love this year? My dear Rowan, how I loved her, and how I lost her. I still talk to her now and then but I really wish she were here. What Could Have Been leans heavy on my mind, and I feel maybe I'll write a story about that someday. I've ha da lot of ideas about the situation...maybe it's time for another Note-In-Love type story? After all, I just submitted it to DaPRIDE and it's seemed to get a...decent response. Hm.

Alright. If you want an update on the personal aspects of my life:
Just went to Game Night at the college, had a lotta fun. Decided to finallly make this journal. My grandma's getting worse, by the way...she may not last the weekend...I hope she does...

On the lighter side of things, went to Game Night, it was amazing. I saw a truck that was from Jurassic Park! It was cool!

And I lost some magic battles, but won some too. Again, fun!

Anyway, let's talk Anachronist.
This story is my pride and joy. I've been working on it for a damn long time now and here it is, in it's entirety. Sort of.
Even now it's being edited. Some day, I may get it published. I doubt it. If I do I'm publishing the rest of the Chronicles with it. It's been a fun ride, and as soon as I upload the remaining part of Misanthropy, I'm just going to rework The Traveling Vampire Show to fit in a little bit more with the rest of the story. Minor changes, like not revealing Ashley's name.

Anyway, a few notes:
Given Anachronist's FPP, you don't learn everything. After all, it's impossible for someone to know everything. And that's why Misanthropy was written. I think it's important to know the things that happen to various characters when Cecil isn't there, just for a complete story.
Also, in Misanthropy, place keep in mind Ashley is not meant to be a sympathetic antagonist, so much as...a troubled psychopath. Hopefully you will still sympathize with her in some respects once the updates are all finished, but if you don't feel bad and heart broken over what's happened, that's fine.
The Ghost Shepherds, while not technically a part of the plot of Anachronist, does in fact explain what the Little Girl is.
The Traveling Vampire Show, after its update, will also become a true part of the Chronicles. As I said, this means a bit of the information in there now will be cut out and changed to better suit the nature of these stories.
They're supposed to fit together like the pieces of a puzzle. You may read one part, if you want, but there should be a lot of things left open from each one. In fact, even if you read all of them you should still be asking yourself a question or two. It's a horror/mystery, people! You lose the fun if things get explained!

As for the Chronicles themselves, they consist of four parts. The Ghost Shepherds, Misanthropy, Anachronist, and The Traveling Vampire Show. Read the Chronicle Gallery description to understand.

I'm so alone...
Since she left...
I got cuddles...the first time in 5, 6 years I got real physical cuddles from people who really loved me...I forgot how much I loved them, how much I missed them. Call my clingy, call my needy, call me whatever you want. I just...I miss her. I miss holding her, I miss being held by her...

And I miss being loved.
It's hard. She's already gotten herself a boyfriend over there. And right now Shadow's off with his lover. He's spending the entire weekend with her...

And for me...I'm sitting here in my room huddled in a ball and crying, watching the sky cry along with me.

Something else is bothering me too...how materialistic I am. When I have money, I virtually have to BUY everything I see. I try and hold off on it. Am I just buying these things to try and make myself happy when I know I can't be? My room is so cluttered with useless shit...I don't know, I just...I want to stop wanting. I want to have enough space in my room. I want to learn moderation. But no I'm just too shitty.

And another thing. How come I can't...I can't fucking come up with any ideas that everyone is satisfied with?
Okay I understand that there's no way in hell that E'ERYONE can enjoy my stories and ideas...but when someone you love very dearly calls one of your favorite concepts "Tasteless" and "Bleghk" it hurts. It hurts hard. I wanted to tell someone but no one wants to hear it, and if I told her how much it hurts I'd feel bad for taking such offense over such a fucking stupid thing. The only reason I'm writing this is because I know she doesn't read it. In fact, NOBODY DOES. I just wanted to get this off of my chest and what better way then here? It's public, but no one cares to read it.
Anyway, if she does read this, I apologize...like I said, it's stupid of me...I should stop being stupid...and I shouldn't finger you like this...
And that's not the only instance. Another was when someone said Sisterly Love "Too much like a Rape is Love" fic.
Is it really THAT bad?
Again, with any luck, he doesn't read this and if he does then I apologize for doing this and making a big deal of it. It's just me being emo.
Those two aren't the only ones. There have been many others. It's just those two are the ones that mean the most.

I can't have love, I can't not be a greedy narcisstic bitch, and I can't even think up good ideas.
